Sustain A Beautiful East Lothian (SABEL) - our aims:

• To promote and campaign for the protection and preservation of East Lothian's unique and iconic rural landscape
• To achieve a sympathetic balance between the development of renewable energy and the rural landscape by Supporting East Lothian Councils planning guidance adopted in 2011 (E, Lothian Supplementary L Landscape Capacity Study 2011)
• To provide a voice for any serious planning proposals that may harm East Lothian's rural landscape

Areas where development should be carefully considered are the East Lothian Agricultural Plain, the Eastern Lammermuir Fringe and the East Lothian River Valleys.
